Jorge Augello
Environmental Engineer from Kennedy University and Chemist with APICS certification in Supply Chain Management, and the Six Sigma Black Belt (USA) diploma. He has over 30 years of experience in the areas of treatment and reuse of water and Oil & Gas in the industrial sector.
Engineer Jorge Augello works as Manager of the Water and Energy Division for Latin America at Buckman, a company with over 75 years in the market and global operations.
Jorge worked as a Technical and Strategic Advisor to the Board of the Aguas Bonaerense S.A. Company, between 2016 and 2018, taking part in major infrastructure projects that the company carried out participating in both Greenfield and Brownfield projects. He served as an Advisor to the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Argentina in Innovation and New Technologies, working on sanitation projects in various Argentine provinces. Since 2013, he has been dedicated to consulting public and private companies and chaired the Argentine Association of Reuse and Desalination of Water from its foundation, in 2013, until December 2016.
Jorge has led BOT-type projects in different parts of the world and led projects and management teams in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and the USA, places where he lived between 2000 and 2012. He fulfilled executive functions in companies such as Nalco, Suez, and Ecolab as Director of Business Units in Latin America and Globally.
He has specialized in Water Reuse, in the optimization of CAPEX and OPEX of Municipal and Industrial Plants, both in drinking water and ultra-pure water and effluents. He has implemented technologies based on the application of attached biomass (MBBR / IFAS), membranes (MF, UF, RO), and the use of sludge for electricity generation.
