ALADYR CONGRESS IN MEXICO IS SUSPENDED

MeXICO, June 17 & 18

We announce that the Latin American Association of Desalination and Water Reuse (ALADYR) has decided to suspend the ALADYR CONGRESS IN MEXICO, which was going to be held on June 17 and 18 in the city of Mexico due to reasons of force majeure.

We have examined different alternatives to continue with the events scheduled for 2020 without obstacles, however, we cannot ignore the situation that the countries affected by CORONAVIRUS are going through. We want to avoid the dissemination of disinformation, panic outbreaks or alarms, but we cannot remain unaware of the preventive measures issued by international and national authorities that emphasize avoiding meetings, congregations, congresses and other alike.

It is difficult for us to cancel an event, especially because of the effort and dedication invested in each encounter, as those who know ALADYR's dynamics can figure.

We offer our most sincere apologies. Unfortunately, this situation exceeds our intentions and generates an uncertain and unfavorable outlook for the proper development of the congress. It would be irresponsible of us to continue without the advertised speakers or attendees whose organizations have taken the precaution of not attending events to avoid possible infection or spread of the virus.

Those who have paid for the registration will be reimbursed and receive an email with refund details.

This week we will announce a Webinar and online events schedule in which you can participate comfortably from your office or home. Our intention is not to replace congresses with virtual spaces, but to promote information and experiences exchange using the appropriate tools depending on the situation.

We thank each of the registered participants and our sponsors. We hope to count on your valuable understanding and that you continue to be a part of ALADYR.
