Daniel Augusto Siljestrom Calero

Born in Cartagena (Spain) in 1989 and graduated in Hydraulic Engineering from the European University of Madrid.

After starting his professional career through a scholarship awarded by the Mancomunidad de los Canales del Taibilla (MCT) (an autonomous body of the Government of Spain that carries out the studies, projects, and execution of the works and facilities for collecting, regulating and driving for the supply of drinking water in the Spanish Southeast) he incorporated into Acciona Agua Company in October 2014 as an Operator in the San Pedro del Pinatar I desalination plant with a capacity of 16.4 mg/day. In January 2016, he got promoted to “Leader Operator” and he accumulated enough experience to get promoted again in May 2017 when he went to the United States as “Operations Manager” at Tampa Bay Sea Water Desalination Facility (TBWDF) with a capacity of 23.7 mg/day.

He was sent for 8 months to the desalination plants that Acciona Agua had just built in Qatar in 2018, Ras Abu Fontas (RAF) with a capacity of 39.5 mg/day and Umm Al Houl (UHP) with a capacity of 62.4 mg/day, to reinforce the Acciona Agua Operation and Maintenance team in the commissioning of both desalination plants.

He works as Operations Manager at Tampa Bay Sea Water Desalination Facility (TBWDF), where Acciona agua and American Water have an Operation and Maintenance contract until 2024 as a joint venture.
