A educação é um processo integral que, além de fornecer informações sobre o entorno e seus problemas, busca criar processos de reflexão sobre como nossos hábitos e ações cotidianas impactam positivamente ou negativamente no meio ambiente, resultando em responsabilidade e consequente ação.
Recomenda-se que a educação ambiental das crianças tenha como foco o conhecimento da natureza por meio de experiências vivenciadas, em espaços naturais que as façam sentir-se parte do meio em que se desenvolvem, criando empatia com os seres vivos e os recursos naturais que as cercam despertando assim o desejo de preservá-los.
Portanto o projeto “Escola dá Água” se propõe a apoiar a formação de alunos em idade escolar (8 a 17 anos) de instituições de ensino públicas e privadas da América Latina para o desenvolvimento de conhecimentos sobre temas relacionados à água, que contribuam para a melhorar sua relação com o meio ambiente e os recursos que o planeta dispõe ao ser humano.
Contribuir para o cuidado da água e do meio ambiente, o desenvolvimento sustentável e a educação nessas questões é possível por meio das doações que recebemos de pessoas físicas e jurídicas, que nos permitem desenvolver as diferentes campanhas e projetos que realizamos na ALADYR para a gestão sustentável da água na América Latina.
